Statue of Liberty

Ann and I took Christopher to see the Statue of Liberty on Easter weekend. Christopher thoroughly enjoyed the visit, and we unexpectedly met Charlie DeLeo, a retired U.S. Park Service employee who cleaned and maintained Lady Liberty's torch for many years. Mr. DeLeo was featured in a 1990 article in Parade Magazine entitled "Keeper of the Flame" and was nice enough to pose for a picture with Christopher.

Following our visit to Liberty Island, we had lunch at the ESPN Zone in Times Square where I totally annihilated Christopher in air hockey.
